  37. Conventions used in this file
  38. -----------------------------
  39.      "Type", or lists of keys separated by commas, means to press the
  40. keys in order, without holding them down after they've been pressed.
  41.      "Hold", or lists of keys separated by plusses, means to press and
  42. hold the keys in order.  Unless instructed otherwise, don't release the
  43. key(s) until the end of the code.
  44.      "1...4" (for example) means to press any single number in the range
  45. specified.

  48. JAGUAR GENERAL TRICKS (JAG)

  50. Stupid JagCube Tricks:

  52. As soon as the spinning cube appears, press and hold Pause (or, press and
  53. release Pause+Option before the letters start to fall), then:
  54.      Up     Zoom in
  55.      Down   Zoom out
  56.      Left   Accelerate left
  57.      Right  Accelerate right
  58.      0      Reverse rotation
  59. Release Pause to continue the boot sequence.  Press Reset (* + #) or any
  60. action button to skip the remainder of the boot sequence.

  104. Note: After entering the Cheat II code, using the Toggle Cheat command
  105. will give you unlimited life and ammo (the ammo bars will run down, then
  106. refresh themselves; the energy bar will run down to zero and stop).  To
  107. get unlimited ammo, you must already have some ammo in the weapon.  The
  108. Up/Down Level commands cycle through each sublevel, both alien ships, and
  109. all the air vents.

  111. Freeze Alien Queen:
  112.      Anywhere inside the Queen's lair, save your game, then reload.
  113. Awaken Queen by walking through the lair entrance.  Note that the Queen
  114. can be damaged while frozen, but won't actually die until you "unfreeze"
  115. her.

  295.      At the mech configuration screen, select add or remove weapon, then 1 or 2
  296. to swivel your mech (doesn't go all the way around).

  302.      During gameplay, Pause, then 1 or 3 to advance one frame at a time.

  304. Almost Full Repair:
  305.      When damaged to the point that you get a Low Energy warning, launch a
  306. cruise missile and directly hit yourself with it.

  308. Rapid Left/Right Rotation:
  309.      Hold A+C while turning.

  315. At the Options screen, select Change Code (a lockout code must already be
  316. entered).  Hold A+C on controller #2, then type on controller #1:

  318.      Sensible Fighter #1           7,4,3,8,7,1 ("Swish" confirms)

  336. Enable Cheats:
  337.      At the main menu, hold 1+4+7+A.  "Excellent" confirms.  The
  338. following cheats are enabled during gameplay:

  340.      Enable Warp Bonus Round: 6

  342. Enable Rotary Controller:
  343.      At the Game Option menu, hold Pause on both controllers.
  344. "Excellent" confirms.

  346. Pause Bug:
  347.      At end of the Bacon/Jupiter River bonus round, press Pause just as
  348. it switches back to the main game (after approximately two and a half
  349. pulses of the "Excellent!" graphic).
  350.      The graphics in the game will now be slightly glitched.   The
  351. starfield won't scroll, messages won't disappear, the SuperZapper might
  352. not work, and the web won't be solid-filled.  Entering the "Green Path"
  353. bonus round effectively ends your game.  Exiting the Jupiter River or LSD
  354. bonus rounds will occasionally mess up the double-buffering of the main
  355. game (though it corrects itself after you die or finish the level).
  356.  
  357. Invisible Web:
  358.      Start any Tempest Plus game.  Hold down Option (cheats must be
  359. active) until you get to the rainbow levels.  The web will be invisible
  360. during the rainbow levels only.
